1. How do I maintain my new hardware?
With proper care, all hardware should provide our customers with years of beauty.
Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaners. Use only mild soapy water and then dry immediately to care for your hardware. Most modern day finishes should last a lifetime with the proper care and maintenance.
2. From what material are your knobs & handles made?
Unless otherwise indicated, our knobs and handles are made of zinc die-cast. Some specialty pieces are made of distinct metals which would be indicated in the items description.
3. Can stainless steel rust? Why? (I thought stainless did not rust!)
There are two reasons stainless steel may rust.
The most common reason is iron particles that have contaminated the surface of the stainless steel and it is these iron particles that are rusting. Look at the source of the rusting and see if you can remove it from the surface.
Stainless steel can suffer from crevice corrosion due to the environment. Salt water areas or detergents and solvents used nearby will contribute to this. A higher grade of 300 steel is suggested for these situations.
4. Do you sell hinges or door knobs for our interior and exterior doors?
We do offer hinges and door knobs for both interior and exterior doors.
5. Do you have a catalogue?

We continually grow our product line and constantly update our website to reflect new offerings. Utilizing the web as our catalogue allows us to quickly offer you new products virtually overnight without the delay of the printing process for a catalogue.
6. Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a beautiful showroom in New York where we showcase most of the items we sell online. We invite you to visit us where our knowledgeable staff will answer all of your decorative hardware questions.
7. How long will it take to get my order?
All of our products have the availability listed on the item page. We update our website on a daily basis to give you the most accurate information we can.
If there is a backorder on the items, you will be notified within two business days of placing your order via email and by phone. Most of our items ship directly from the manufacturer to you.
8. Can I return the hardware if I don't like it?
Yes, we accept returns on most items unless they are special order (please refer to our Return Policy page for non-returnable items). Items that are returnable may incur a 25% restocking fee to process the return.
If an item is defective, we will replace the item at our cost.
Please do not return anything without obtaining authorization. To return your unwanted products please contact us. No packages will be accepted without an RGA # posted on the package. Any items returned without authorization will be refused.
9. I can't decide between a few choices. Do you have a sample policy?
We have a very helpful sample policy which allows you to purchase up to 3 different items to view in your home.
When the items are returned, we will issue a credit towards any future orders. Shipping costs cannot be credited. Please see our Sample Policy page for more details.
10. The screws I received with my cabinet hardware are not long enough to work on my cabinets. Can you send longer screws?
1" screws are packaged with most of our hardware to accommodate standard 3/4" door fronts. You should be able to find the appropriate metric or 8/32 screw length at your local hardware store.
If you require special size screws, please let us know at the time of order in the comments section of our order form.
11. Why are your item numbers different from the manufacturer's item numbers?
With over 230,000 items it is a lot easier for us to manage your order by using our own internal part number system. Many of our vendors have over lapping part numbers, rest assured that your order will ship out accurately.
12. How would I locate a product on your site?
We have a superior search engine that allows you to find exactly what you are looking for. You may search by manufacturer, style, theme, finish, material or size. You can use any or all of these features to narrow down your search.
13. What finish will look best with my cabinets?
It is hard to give our opinion on what would look good in your particular application.
There are many variables one should take into consideration when ordering hardware. There is no real wrong way of choosing.
As a rule a thumb, try to purchase all items from the same manufacturer to assure color consistency and above all - remember that your hardware is the jewelry of your kitchen.
14. I cannot find pulls to fit the pre-drilled holes in my cabinets. What can I do?
We offer a large variety of shapes and sizes on our site. If all else fails and you cannot find the correct size, consider using an ADJUSTABLE pull or using a back plate.
